Amazing 3-Year Olds

Finding activities for 3-year olds can be quite a challenge as there's only so much that kids this age can do. For one mum, the idea of decorating the birthday cake was such a tempting idea that she just had to give it a try. As it turned out, all the kids were absolutely delighted and the result was nothing short of amazing. Birthday girl Zoe had a unique birthday cake and mum was so pleased.

More Cookies, Mummy!

Joel, aged 4 and his mummy had a great time at a Kooky Art workshop. The look on their happy faces says it all, doesn't it? Here's what Joel's mum had to say:

"Thank you once again for the fun educational time last Sunday! We had a great time as a family. My son was so eager to make more cookies when he reached home that day! :)

Will definitely look out for any suitable programme for my son and will tell others about Kooky Art!"

P.S. Joel brought home the Kooky Art DIY Creative Fun Kit so he could do more decorating at home!

Kooky Art in Hong Kong - A Happy Mum Has Her Say

Lucky birthday boy, Russell, celebrated his 5th birthday party at the Kids Adventure Zone in Hong Kong. More than 20 of his friends were treated to a Kooky Art cake decorating activity with an "Under The Sea" theme. Thanks to mum sparing no effort, this was a party Russell and his friends are sure to remember for a long time.

The function room was splendidly decorated with balloons, and bouquets of giant lollipops, marshmallows and sweets. When it came to the grand finale to present the decorated birthday cake that the kids had completed, Mummy got these beautiful candies to complete the "Under The Sea theme". Just look at the birthday cake...WOW!

And here's what Russell's mum had to say:

"Thanks for the great event, personally I loved it myself cuz no one has done it before in Hong Kong and the cake is very personalised. The kids are all very excited, I'm surprised even the boys participated, which is probably why the additional numbers!

I find that the kids are actually all very well behaved and they all sat through your session! It's also a good balance where they can let of energy on the slides after the cake making.

This is such a good alternative to the usual magic shows!"

A Stitch of Love

Mummy Pam showed her birthday princess, Yukie, how special she was by putting in her labour of love. She requested for Kooky Art aprons to be delivered to her early so that she could arrange for Yukie's name to be stitched on it – all in time for her party! What a thoughtful mummy as it came as a lovely gift for the birthday princess. You’re a lucky girl, Yukie!

Kids For a Day

Think that Kooky Art is just for kids? Well think again. As busy corporate executives work so hard for the year, the year end is a time to unwind and get to know each other better.

So it was pure delight for some 20 after-sales cum consulting team personnel from an IT company as they dug deep into their inner being to find out if they had any hidden potential. And what a surprise they found!

Kooky Art Appreciation Workshop

For a group of 30 adults, it was a day of fun never experienced before. This group of Co-Curricular Programme Executives from various schools were exposed to an array of Kooky Art projects for team building and sheer wacky fun. Teamwork certainly paid off for one of the teams when they created a masterpiece based on the theme “Flowers” that got everyone going "Wow!"

From decorating cookies with puzzles to decorating cakes that sought to reinforce concepts such as fractions, these participants experienced first hand how Kooky Art could be used in the classroom for learning purposes.

So it's not all just work but play as well in the classroom!

Chilling Out With Friends

Two teenaged sisters fairly new to Singapore wanted to chill out with some of their friends. So what better way than to have a cake decorating session! Over in their apartment by the poolside, it was an afternoon of fun with lots of yummy snacks in between.

So really, you don't need a special occasion. Next time you want to chill out with your friends, have a Kooky Art session.

Making Kueh Ee the Peranakan Way

Some kids were treated to a special event at the Peranakan Museum. For an hour and a half, they learned how the Peranakans celebrated 'tang chek or winter solstice. This is when the Peranakans observe a tradition of preparing and eating Kueh Ee or glutinous rice balls…. which signify togetherness, harmony and the request for a good year ahead for the family.

Not only that, they also got a chance to actually make the Kueh Ee. They brought home their own creations in a self-made box with Peranakan motifs, complete with instructions on how to cook the Kueh Ee at home. What a sweet treat!
